Retreats are popular because they offer a conscious pause, which is often missing in everyday life. In a fast-paced, loud and constantly connected world, many people crave slowing down, spending time in nature and having meaningful experiences. A retreat provides a dedicated space to take a break from routine without feeling pressured to be productive or constantly available. They also offer a holistic experience involving movement, nourishing food, rest, new insights and connection with like-minded people. The carefully curated programme provides structure, so you don’t have to worry about planning or organising anything — you can focus entirely on yourself. Community is another important factor. You’ll meet like-minded people, share experiences, and often form lasting friendships. In short, retreats are popular because they provide an environment that allows you to breathe, reflect, recharge and reset, while receiving support and inspiration from others.
This retreat is for you if you are looking for a mindful break from everyday life, where movement, nature and genuine hospitality come together in a meaningful way.
We are passionate about offering a combination of yoga, cold exposure and heartfelt hospitality. Our retreats take place in carefully selected, lovingly restored historic houses, often located within protected natural areas far from mass tourism and crowded destinations. These remote, culturally rich settings encourage you to slow down and shift into a different rhythm.
Whether it's the mountains, a quiet lake in the forest or a hill overlooking the sea, we choose each location with great care. Regardless of the landscape, the spirit remains the same: intimacy, authenticity, and closeness to nature.
Here, you can truly unwind, reconnect with yourself and immerse yourself in a harmonious blend of yoga practice, ice baths and sauna sessions. Surrounded by fresh air, open skies and the soothing sounds of nature, you will find space to breathe deeply and recharge.
Each day offers moments for reflection and renewal, whether through journaling, meaningful conversations with like-minded individuals or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. The scent of nourishing home-cooked meals, shared laughter around the table, and the peaceful atmosphere of our secluded locations will nurture your body and soul.
So, if you’re ready to step away from your routine, embrace nature in its purest form and experience community in an intimate, mindful setting, this could be the perfect retreat for you.

Yoga and ice baths can be mentally as well as physically challenging, so it's important to be in good physical and mental shape before you start the retreat. If you have any health conditions or injuries, it's important to let the retreat organisers know in advance so that they can make suggestions or alternatives for you if you need them. Cardiovascular Health: Ice baths can put a strain on the cardiovascular system, especially if you have underlying heart conditions. If you have any concerns about your heart health, it's important to speak to your doctor before taking part. Ultimately, the most important thing is to listen to your body during the retreat. If something feels too challenging or uncomfortable, it's okay to take a step back or ask for modifications. The goal is to have a positive and relaxing experience that leaves you feeling relaxed.

No experience is necessary. However, it would be an advantage to get used to the cold before the retreat. Perhaps you can get used to it by taking a cold shower now and then?
The number of guided cold exposure sessions during the stay depends on the specific retreat and its focus, but there are usually 1–2.
However, everything is completely optional. You are free to participate or skip a session, or you can decide at the time how you feel.
If you would prefer not to join the ice baths, there are always alternative options, such as extra rest time, enjoying the sauna, going for a gentle walk, doing some journaling, or simply enjoying the surroundings. The retreat is about supporting your personal experience, not pushing limits.
Absolutely.
Everything we offer is entirely optional. You can always skip the ice bath or any other cold exposure practice — there is no pressure or expectation.
You can also decide on the Spot how you’re feeling. Many guests choose to take part in the breathwork sessions without doing the cold immersion itself, which can be a powerful and grounding experience in itself.
Depending on the retreat, the cold element may be a gentle cold plunge in natural cold water rather than extreme temperatures. We introduce everything mindfully and with guidance, so you can explore at your own pace — or simply opt out.
Your experience is about listening to your body and honouring your comfort level.
We serve breakfast or brunch, nourishing snacks and dinner each day. All meals are handmade by a carefully selected chef. Ice and Yoga was founded by people passionate about bringing together movement, cold exposure, nature and authentic hospitality. What began as a shared vision has grown into a carefully curated retreat concept rooted in quality, integrity and meaningful experiences.
We collaborate with certified yoga teachers, experienced breathwork and cold exposure instructors, sauna masters and selected chefs. Depending on the retreat, we also work with local guides and specialists who bring deep knowledge of the region and their craft.
