Essentials of the Ice and Yoga Retreat
February 2025

Welcome dear guest!
Get ready and let the Lithuanian forest embrace you, the yoga practice balance your mind, the sauna purify you and the ice bath awaken your senses. We can't wait to have you with us!

In the midst of enchanting nature, you will come to relax and recentre yourself. We're passionate about bringing together experts in yoga, cooking, sauna ritual and the Wim Hof method in an amazing location where you, as our guest, can relax, be inspired and have an incredible time.
This retreat is for you if you want to immerse yourself in a harmonious blend of yoga practice, ice bath and sauna rituals, amidst ancient trees and frozen lakes.
Inspiration for daily journaling, stimulating conversation with like-minded women, the warmth of an open fire, the tantalising aroma and taste of home-cooked food and hearty laughter await you - a sensual experience for body and soul.

Yoga

"Find balance between effort and ease."
Begin your day with a 90-minute Vinyasa Flow, synchronizing your breath with the rhythm of the forest. Feel the energy of the surrounding nature as you stretch and strengthen your body.

In the evenings, unwind with a 45-60 minute Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Sound healing journey or Yoga Nidra session. As the sun sets, settle into a cozy spot in our beautiful Yogashala, featuring large windows and a beautiful fireplace. Release stress and tension, guided by the soothing sounds of nature and a carefully curated playlist.

Ice Bath

The ice bath might feel uncomfortable at first, but it can really help you to feel amazing. It can reduce muscle soreness and boost your immune system, improve your circulation, metabolism and sleep quality.

Join us for an invigorating ice bath experience, guided every step of the way by our certified Wim Hof Method instructor Greta from Lithuania.

Benefit from her guidance and supervision, ensuring that you can fully immerse yourself with peace of mind. Sharing this unique experience with others fosters a sense of community and mutual encouragement, making it both manageable and enjoyable.

The workshop will take place over two afternoons and will include an introduction to the Wim Hof Method, breathwork sessions and cold exposure.
There's a good chance the lake in front of our house will be frozen and we'll have the pleasure of punching a hole in the ice for a fun dip in the cold.
Prepared to welcome you to its clear and invigorating waters.

Nourishing Cuisine

Welcome to our culinary heaven, where every meal is a masterpiece crafted by our talented Swiss chefs.

We find and interpret the perfect mix of traditional Lithuanian and modern vegan-vegetarian dishes and beverages.
We believe that eating healthy should never mean compromising on taste, quantity or quality.

After your yoga practice, we serve breakfast to energise you for the day ahead.
For those moments between meals, satisfy your cravings with our selection of wholesome snacks and soups.
As evening falls, let us take you on a culinary journey that celebrates the art of plant-based cuisine.

From rich and comforting stews to delicate vegetable risottos, our menus offers a symphony of flavors that will leave you feeling nourished and happy.
Imagine cosy evenings by the fireplace, enjoying wholesome food and sharing stories.
While you sit back and relax, our chefs will take care of your catering.

Sauna Ritual "Pirtis"

The Lithuanian sauna ritual, known as 'Pirtis', is an ancient tradition that purifies the body and mind. It's a relaxing ritual that uses heat and steam to cleanse the body.
Pirtis has many health benefits for you: it improves circulation, tones the skin and helps with detoxification. The deep heat relaxes muscles and relieves tension, while the humid air clears the airways.

The ritual, which is led by a certified sauna master from Lithuania using hand-knitted bath whisk (brooms) made from various leaves and branches, is an essential part of the bath experience.
Pirtis is great for the female body and a great way to relax and recharge.

Journaling

Journaling is more than writing a diary.
It is a powerful tool for personal development.

Understand Your Emotions:
Use journaling to explore and process your feelings. Write down your thoughts to identify patterns and find emotional healing.

Dream Visualisation:
Put your dreams on paper and create your visions. Journaling helps you set clear goals and motivates you to actively work towards them.

Female Strength:
Discover and celebrate your inner strength as a woman. Document your successes and challenges to build your confidence and resilience.

Uncover "Beliefs":
Expose and transform deeply held beliefs that limit you. Develop new positive beliefs through writing.

Your home

Just 1.5 hours from Vilnius, Lithuania, this hidden gem in the heart of the enchanting Labanoras Forest offers an idyllic escape.
This serene retreat is a paradise for nature lovers, where majestic trees and the soothing silence of the forest create a magical atmosphere.
Situated on a peninsula with private access to the lake (3 hectares of private land).

On this property you will find the "Big House" and the "Small House" with different rooms. The "Big House" has an open kitchen, a dining room and a lounge where we will come together for a feast with views of the lake and a beautiful fireplace.
The "Small House" has got additional bedrooms.
The yoga shala is nestled among the trees where we can watch the sunrise. And that's not all: A traditional Lithuanian sauna overlooks the lake, and further back is also a tippi tent.

Cardiovascular Health: Ice baths can put a strain on the cardiovascular system, especially if you have underlying heart conditions. If you have any concerns about your heart health, it's important to speak to your doctor before taking part. Ultimately, the most important thing is to listen to your body during the retreat. If something feels too challenging or uncomfortable, it's okay to take a step back or ask for modifications. The goal is to have a positive and relaxing experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and energised.

We're here to help! If you don't have a connection to Vilnius on Tuesday and need to fly in one night earlier, we'd love to give you some recommendations for hotels, restaurants and places to visit. Vilnius is an interesting city to explore! We will also be happy to put you in touch with other participants who are staying the night in Vilnius.

The flight: Travelling from abroad to Vilnius and the transport from the airport to the meeting point is not included and is the responsibility of the participant. Same on the departure day. We'd recommend getting a Bolt from Vilnius Airport, which is really simple and 100% affordable.

Insurence: It's the participant's responsibility to make sure they have the right insurance. We suggest that participants get travel cancellation insurance and health and accident insurance.

Greta

Wim Hof Method Instructor

I am a certified Wim Hof Method Instructor, an Oxygen Advantage Advanced Breathing Instructor, a physiotherapist and have a Masters Degree in Health Sciences. I have been improving public health for almost 10 years. As a wellness practitioner, I prioritise safety and effectiveness in my practices, supported by my extensive education.

In my wellness work I noticed that my clients' physical problems were often the result of psychological tension and stress. When I discovered Wim Hof's method, I found it to be an excellent tool for stress management and psychological control, which reduces physical pain, injury and illness. This holistic approach to health has helped my clients to become more body aware, leading to improved physical and emotional wellbeing and greater happiness and strength.

Disclaimer

The WHM breathing practice is extremely powerful and is not recommended for pregnant women or people with epilepsy.

We would like to remind you that, as with any health practice, it's important to approach ice baths in a safe manner and to consult a medical professional. This is particularly important if you have any pre-existing health conditions or if you are pregnant. Ice baths and any other related activities are at your own risk. You should only do it if you feel healthy and fit.

But we are here for you, so if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yoga Teacher

My fascination with the physical expression of the body began in childhood as a competitive rhythmic gymnast. In 2017, after a personal loss, I turned to yoga in search of acceptance. Since then, I've completed over 750 hours of Yoga Alliance registered training in a variety of styles and am recognised as an RYT-500h Yoga Alliance teacher. The spiritual teachings and mind-body connection of yoga continue to inspire me on this journey.

I teach yoga in a way that is accessible to everyone and can be tailored to your needs, ensuring a versatile and enriching experience for all.

"My aim in yoga is to create an inspiring space full of joy and transformation." Teaching allows me to offer you the opportunity to delve deep within yourself and realise your greatness. Wherever you are on your yoga journey, I'm here to support you.

Nives

Eventmanager and Founder of Ice and Yoga Retreats

I have always loved the feeling after a good yoga session and the invigorating sensation of a dip in icy water. These experiences bring me immense joy and satisfaction.

My journey began with a degree in Hotel Management in Lucerne, Switzerland. For many years, I worked as an event manager, organizing a wide range of events and attending many retreats myself.

This year, I also started as a "safe-space" holder at Keen Wellbeing, where I help participants get into the ice bath. Combining my personal passions with my professional expertise, I am dedicated to creating unforgettable retreats.

Using my background in hospitality and event management, I design experiences that leave participants feeling recharged and inspired.

It gives me great joy to see people happy and fulfilled, whether it's after an invigorating ice bath or a delicious meal.
I can't wait to meet you! Love, Nives

Nina & Anastasia

Head Chefs

We are Anastasia and Nina and we are passionate chefs. Born and raised in Switzerland, we have always been inspired by the recipes of our mothers and grandmothers.
We always strive to provide our guests with an unforgettable culinary experience. Our style of cooking is characterised by a blend of traditional techniques and modern influences, with a strong emphasis on using seasonal and local products.
Creativity and innovation are as important to us as respect for the ingredients. Our focus is on the beauty of vegan and vegetarian food.

We met when we both worked in a patisserie. Since then we have been on a culinary journey together. We started together in a Vietnamese restaurant, had a food truck with plant-based kebabs and finally had our own pop-up with vegan Swiss classics served as bite-sized appetisers.
In our free time, we love to be outdoors, picking fresh herbs and using them in dinners with friends. We firmly believe that cooking is an art that brings people together and brings joy.

We look forward to bringing our passion and expertise to the Ice and Yoga retreats and delighting you with our delicious creations!
