Essentials of the Alpine Reset - Lej da Staz

Welcome, dear guest!
We would like to invite you to The Alpine Reset, a carefully curated retreat at Lej da Staz (Lake Staz) in the heart of the Engadin. Surrounded by pristine alpine nature, this hidden lake offers stillness, clarity, and space to fully arrive. Crystal-clear water, mountain light, and silence create the perfect setting to step away from everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

The Alpine Reset is designed for those in need of a true reset. People who value nature, small groups, and a thoughtfully curated experience. It is about slowing down, simplifying, and returning to what truly matters.

Here, energising hikes, refreshing cold-plunges, and grounding yoga sessions support you in restoring balance and clarity always in close connection with the natural elements around you.

A highlight of the retreat is our private lakeside sauna, created exclusively for this weekend and heated entirely with firewood. Located at the water, it offers a powerful contrast of fire and ice. Available only to our guests.

Another key part of The Alpine Reset is our collaboration with Jana and Nicole from Semina, two inspiring nutrition experts. They will nourish you with exceptional, carefully curated meals designed to support both body and mind.

The Alpine Reset is created for those who seek clarity, and reconnection through movement, stillness, nourishment, and meaningful moments.
Gentle days, hiking, yoga, nourishing food, deep rest and meaningful connections await you.

Yoga

Find balance between effort and ease.
Start your day with Morning Meditation and Vinyasa Flow, synchronising your breath with the sunrise. Feel the energy of the surrounding nature as you stretch and strengthen your body.

In the evening, unwind with a 45–60-minute yin yoga or yoga nidra session. Release stress and tension as you are guided by the soothing sounds of nature.

Cold Plunge

Although the cold plunge may feel intense at first, it can leave you feeling deeply refreshed and mentally clear, while also recharging your body. It improves circulation, reduces muscle tension after hiking and can positively affect overall recovery, energy levels and sleep quality.

Together, we will step into the cold in a safe and supportive way. You will be guided through breathwork and preparation techniques to help you stay calm and present during the experience. Sharing this experience with others creates a strong sense of connection, encouragement and trust, making the cold plunge not only manageable, but also empowering and great fun!

The workshop includes an introduction, guided breathwork, and the cold plunge in the lake. The water is clear, refreshing, and deeply awakening. Typically around 10–14°C in September, depending on natural conditions.

Nourishing Cuisine

Semina's culinary offerings are an integral part of the experience.
Drawing inspiration from conscious gastronomy, guests can look forward to vibrant, seasonal dishes that are mostly vegetarian, plant-based, nourishing and thoughtfully composed.
Each meal follows the natural rhythm of the day, providing gentle energy in the morning, grounding at midday, and restoration in the evening.
Everything unfolds with natural ease, balancing simplicity and refinement with honest flavours and quality ingredients. It becomes more than just food: a sensory experience offering a space to gather, slow down and feel supported through taste, atmosphere and genuine care.

Private Sauna Session

Just a few steps away is our private lakeside sauna, which has been created exclusively for this weekend and is heated entirely with firewood. It is available exclusively to our guests and is the perfect place to relax after a hike or on rainy days.

Your home

During The Alpine Reset, you will stay in a charming chalet at Lej da Staz, surrounded by peaceful alpine nature.
The upper floor of the chalet is reserved exclusively for our guests, creating a private and intimate atmosphere throughout your stay. All six rooms are located on the second floor and offer beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding Swiss stone pine forest. Each room is thoughtfully designed and equipped with its own bathroom, combining comfort with a simple, authentic alpine style.
The spacious terrace is perfect for enjoying a big brunch in the fresh mountain air. In the evenings, we gather on the large outdoor lounge for shared BBQs, watching the sun set over the mountains and the lake - a moment to slow down, connect, and enjoy.
The chalet itself reflects the charm of Art Nouveau architecture, with rustic interiors that radiate warmth and a sense of calm. Rooted in regional tradition and shaped by a love for simplicity, it offers the perfect space to unwind, recharge, and fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Just steps away, the lake awaits, offering wooden piers, secluded bathing spots and clear, refreshing water, inviting you to pause, breathe and simply be.

We’re passionate about combining yoga, cold exposure, and thoughtful hospitality—and with The Alpine Reset, we’ve created a retreat that brings it all together. Set at Lej da Staz, this unique location places you right in the middle of alpine nature. Surrounded by forests, open landscapes, and fresh mountain air, it offers the perfect setting to step away from everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

This retreat is for you if you’re ready to immerse yourself in a carefully curated blend of yoga, hikes, cold plunges, and sauna sessions. Each element is designed to support your reset—simple, grounding, and deeply effective.

Every day offers space for reflection and renewal. Journal your thoughts, share meaningful conversations, and connect with like-minded people. Exceptional, nourishing meals and moments of togetherness create a sense of warmth and ease throughout the experience.

No detail is left to chance—The Alpine Reset is designed to offer you time to be cared for, inspired, and deeply restored.

Vinyasa and Yoga Nidra or Yin Yoga.

Both inexperienced and experienced yogis are welcome. As long as your're open to learning and adapting every level is welcome.

No, not at all. We expect the lakes to be around 8–15 degrees, so they won't be ice cold.

On Saturday, we're going to hike to a mountain lake and have our cold plunge.

The lake "Lej da Staz" might be refreshingly cool, or perhaps even warm, but if you're looking for a more chilly swim, the lake of St. Moritz will be cold as well.

We’ve prepared a packing list for The Alpine Reset in September at Lej da Staz:

September in the mountains can be warm and sunny during the day, but cooler, and sometimes windy, in the mornings and evenings. Layering is key!

Experience shows that less is more - so feel free to travel light!

  • Light down jacket or warm layer (mornings & evenings can be cool)
  • Waterproof jacket or windbreaker (it can also be windy)
  • Warm sweater or fleece
  • Comfortable trousers / hiking pants
  • Shoes: comfortable walking or hiking shoes
  • Clothes for yoga: yoga/sport outfit (layers recommended)

Yoga, sauna and cold exposure can be mentally as well as physically challenging, so it's important to be in good physical and mental shape before you start the retreat. Cardiovascular Health: Ice baths can put a strain on the cardiovascular system, especially if you have underlying heart conditions. If you have any concerns about your heart health, it's important to speak to your doctor before taking part. Ultimately, the most important thing is to listen to your body during the retreat. If something feels too challenging or uncomfortable, it's okay to take a step back or ask for modifications. The goal is to have a positive and relaxing experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and energised.

Included: Breakfast, lunch and a two-course dinner, all prepared using fresh produce from the valley.

During her travels, she experienced different styles of yoga and immersed herself more deeply in various meditation techniques.

With several years of experience, she provides group classes, retreats, ceremonies, and workshops. For her, yoga is much more than a physical practice. It is a holistic journey, a gateway to self-awareness and inner growth. It is not only a physical experience; the practice goes beyond the mat and invites practitioners to cultivate a more conscious way of living.

With international teaching experience, she teaches in English.

Rather than rigidly following recipes or set menus, I embrace a creative and intuitive approach in the kitchen. I enjoy experimenting, so each dish has a touch of spontaneity, but I also value simplicity and like to highlight the natural quality of the ingredients.

I adapt my cooking according to the season, the weather and my guests' preferences, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience. Above all, I cook with great passion and care, and spices are an essential part of my cuisine.

I look forward to welcoming you to Albania, where you may even have the opportunity to join me in the kitchen!

I have always loved the feeling after a good yoga session and the invigorating sensation of a dip in icy water. These experiences bring me immense joy and satisfaction.

My journey began with a degree in Hotel Management in Lucerne, Switzerland. For many years, I worked as an event manager, organizing a wide range of events and attending many retreats myself.

This year, I also started as a "safe-space" holder at Keen Wellbeing, where I help participants get into the ice bath. Combining my personal passions with my professional expertise, I am dedicated to creating unforgettable retreats.

Using my background in hospitality and event management, I design experiences that leave participants feeling recharged and inspired.

It gives me great joy to see people happy and fulfilled, whether it's after an invigorating ice bath or a delicious meal.
I can't wait to meet you! Love, Nives

I'm Corinne, a passionate chef with a heart and a love for wild herbs.

My cooking is inspired by nature, characterised by curiosity and driven by a deep love of detail. I love cooking over an open fire and experimenting with different ingredients.

In autumn 2025, I will be immersing myself further in the world of wild flavours with an internship at Stefan Wiesner's restaurant in Entlebuch.
To me, cooking is about more than just food. It's a form of expression and an experience. It's also an invitation to pause for a moment.
